The following comes from Charlie Werger of Hampshire, Tennessee.  Charlie writes "Dear Mike, Great to see a Torino focused resource! I have a low mileage 1971 Torino 500 awaiting restoration in my barn.  I know it's not an impressive hot rod, but it's a clean TN car been stored since 86, tiny rust, and eventually I'll do it for myself, not original, but a rocket.. I have a '70 Lincoln DOVE 460 I may use for propulsion..  Car, trailer, '66 truck all the same Ford red, different degrees (32yrs,10yrs,28yrs) of faded!

Car owner Walt Golembiowski gave me your URL, you featured his orange ragtop 429 in several places.

If you go to www.carbuilderonline.com  on "Capabilities" page you can see the same car before I made 80 inch long hammer welds down each side! The lower quarters were cut off a sedan in California and shipped to me. I made the seams in the floor and right down the sides 4 inches above the feature line, welded seamlessly, finished with very little filler, practically undetectable by anybody. The downside of doing perfectionist restoration is nobody can tell you did it!

Walt is the expert on Fords. Hands down he knows his parts and drag pack cars. We worked together many years ago as Ford Engineers. He stayed with Ford, I started my carbuilder business.

Thank you for your time Charlie WergerThanks for kind words, did the website myself with a web generator software, it needs to be updated with new pictures..
