The following comes from George Frew.  George writes "My Torino is a 1970 Sportsroof. It was a late model addition to the 70 lineup. I bought it from a friend who was going to tube it, gut it, and turn her into a drag car. I bought it at the time because it was too nice a car to just stand by and watch her be destroyed. It wasn't till later that I found out she was rare. When I tried to match the numbers in the shop manual, I could not find the numbers. I found a listing in the FCA (Fairlane Club of America) newsletter. If you want a build sheet of your car, send info to........... Boy was I shocked when I received a letter from Bill Shenk telling me about my car. That was 15 years ago. She is dark green ivy metallic, med. green interior, shaker hood scoop, 351c 4 bbl. The best investment I ever made. The best is driving down the road and watching the heads turn. No one does that when I drive my mini van."

Thanks George, great car and story!  A letter from Bill Shenk himself?  Wow, only in my wildest dreams....
