The following comes from Paul Nolan from Blue Springs, MO. He writes "Thanks for the opportunity to post my pictures, as you know Eric and I are best friends and we were both loyal Torino owners. My car however didn't last as long as Eric's. I purchased my 1972 Ranchero 500 in 1979 for $1400.00 with only 69,000 miles on it. It had a 351C 2bbl and FMX Transmission. I drove it for about 10 years and 175,000 miles through high school and college. Through the years I added Gran Torino Sport door panels, Leather seats, center console and floor shifter from a 69 Cougar XR7. That was an interesting job to get those parts to fit. I added the deep dish American Racing wheels, 60 series radials, blacked out grill, dual exhaust, tinted windows, mud flaps, pioneer stereo with 6x9 speakers that I built into the storage area behind the seat and under the bed. For its day it sounded great. An interesting note the factory hood with built in hood scoops didn't come with the Ranchero when I bought it. A friend of mine found it in a junk yard and I bought it for $20. The color matched so well that I didn't even have to paint it. I took an idea from the Subaru Brat and added folding bass boat seats in the rear, complete with seat belts. It was a great vehicle and sometimes I miss the uniqueness of it. Even in its day there weren't a lot of them on the road and today you don't see any. It would be great to have another for a collectors item. Thanks for the memories, Paul". Paul it's my pleasure. Great car by the way!
