The photos above come from Rob Olewiler of Harrisburg, Pa. He writes "Hey Mike great web site. It's good to see the Torinos gaining in popularity. My second car was a '70 cobra N code four speed and have since had 7 '70 or '71 cobras or GT's. I currently have a '70 cobra that was bought new by a friend of mine that races and then in '79 he cut out the rear of the car to allow for bigger tires. All of the front sheet metal was used to make fiber glass molds. In '91 the car had an accident at the track and lost the rear end. Since then we have totally reconstructed the car and will begin racing it in a few months. I know that the purists will cringe at the thought of cutting up a 20,000 mile car but you have to remember that in '79 these cars were nothing more than gas hogs. Besides cars are a reflection of there owners and should be enjoyed. I am also in the process of restoring a '70 cyclone spoiler. It's not a torino but it's still pretty cool. Keep up the good work and I'll send you 2 pictures. The first one is from '85 when I got the car and the next is right out of the body shop I'll send you more if your interested. Let me know if they come through."
Well Rob, they came through LOUD and CLEAR! You're right, a car is a reflection of it's owner and I see nothing wrong in making a car anyway one chooses. That's for the GREAT pictures, they certainly are very cool! I look forward to more....
