"HI MIKE FIRST, SORRY TO HERE ABOUT YOUR AXLE DISASTER. YOU MUST HAVE SHIT. COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE THOUGH. YOU DIDN'T HIT SOMETHING OR SOMEONE. HOW ARE THE REPAIRS GOING? DID YOU FIND THE AXLE YOU WERE LOOKING FOR? MY NAME IS STEVE KELLY. WE TALKED A FEW TIMES VIA E MAIL WHILE I WAS HUNTING FOR MY CAR AND THEN PARTS. YOU ASKED ME TO SEND YOU SOME PICTURES AND I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO IT. I FOUND MY CAR THROUGH YOUR SITE. IT WAS RICK MEYERS CAR. I BOUGHT IT A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO. IT IS A NUMBERS MATCHING J CODE TORINO COBRA. FOUR SPEED,3.50 TRACTION LOCK, BUCKETS, CONSOLE, TACH CAR. ONE OF 130 PAINTED GRABBER GREEN WITH 429CJ RAM AIR AND MANUAL TRANS. WHEN I RECEIVED THE CAR IT HAD 4:11 GEARS WHICH I REPLACED WHEN I REBUILT THE REAR WITH THE STOCK 3:50 GEARS. I ALSO REPLACED, CLEANED PAINTED AND POWDER COATED EVERYTHING FROM THE REAR BUMPER TO THE MUFFLERS WHILE REAR WAS OUT. I FOUND A MINT SET OF LOUVERS THAT I HAD POWDER COATED AND INSTALLED. THE CAR WAS NOT ORDERED WITH THEM OR THE MAGNUMS BUT I HAD TO PUT THEM ON. I RECEIVED THE CAR WITH 15X7 INCH MAGNUMS AND POLYGLASS TIRES ALL AROUND. I HAVE SINCE INSTALLED 15X8 MAGNUMS IN BACK AND KEPT THE 15X7 IN FRONT AND PUT BFG TA'S ON THEM. THERE WAS NO CONSOLE WHEN I BOUGHT IT BUT I FOUND A NEAR NOS ONE THAT I HAVE NOT INSTALLED YET. I HAVE TO GET THE SEATS WORKED ON FIRST. THEY WERE DONE WHEN I BOUGHT IT BUT NOT CORRECTLY. ONCE THAT IS DONE THE INTERIOR WILL BE FINISHED. THE ENGINE IS MY WINTER PROJECT. IT HAS A CAM AND LONG TUBE HEADERS ON IT. ALSO ALL THE PULLEYS, BRACKETS, FAN, ALTERNATOR AND MISC PARTS HAVE BEEN CHROMED. ALL THAT IS GOING TO BE PAINTED OR REPLACED WHEN I PULL THE ENGINE AND TRANS AND DETAIL THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. I HAVE ALL THE PARTS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE REV LIMITER TO DO IT. I HAVE MULTIPLES OF SHAKER PARTS AND A PAIR OF EXHAUST MANIFOLDS IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE WHO CAN HELP ME WITH A REV LIMITER. ANYWAY HERE ARE A FEW PICTURES, I HOPE YOU CAN USE THEM. THANKS TO YOUR SITE I FOUND THE CAR I WAS LOOKING FOR. NOW I FIND PARTS AND A VAST AMOUNT OF INFORMATION I CAN'T GET ANYWHERE ELSE. THIS SITE IS SECOND TO NONE FOR OWNERS OF THESE TORINOS. INCREDIBLE JOB MIKE. THANKS, STEVE"
1-20-2005 - "HI MIKE, HERE ARE SOME PICTURES OF MY 70 COBRA NOW THAT IT IS ALMOST COMPLETE. I HAVE REBUILT OR RESTORED EVERYTHING MECHANICAL, AND I MEAN EVERYTHING. I HAVE INCLUDED A SHOT OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WHEN I BOUGHT IT FOR COMPARISON. IT TOOK A LONG TIME AND A LOT OF CASH TO FIND AND RESTORE ALL THE PARTS BUT IT WAS WORTH ALL THE AGGRAVATION. IM BRINGING THE CAR TO CARLISLE THIS SUMMER. IT'S NOT A SHOW CAR BUT IT IS A PRETTY GOOD DRIVER. I BOUGHT IT TO DRIVE SO IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME. I ALSO INCLUDED SOME PICTURES OF MY NEXT PROJECT WHICH MAY GET STARTED THIS SPRING (UNLESS I SELL IT) IF I HAVE THE TIME AND CASH. IT IS A 71 COBRA. ORIGINAL J CODE 429CJ 4 SPEED WITH AC. 1 OF 34 J CODE 4 SPEED CARS BUILT IN 71. BUCKETS, CONSOLE, VISIBILITY GROUP. Q CODE PAINT, BLUE INTERIOR. STRAIGHT AND RUST FREE CALIFORNIA CAR. HOPE TO MEET YOU SOMEDAY. IF YOU GO TO CARLISLE THIS YEAR STOP BY. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE HARD WORK ON THE SITE.
STEVE"
