These came from my buddy Chuck (Torino692 of the Yahoo Torino club). Chuck is always sending good stuff! "Mike, This is one of my Torino models. It came from Blue Ribbon Nascars. HERE IS A AMT/ERTL BUILT BY NASCAR MODEL BUILDER *LARRY MEYER* A WELL KNOWN NAME FOR CLEAN, SHARP DETAIL. THIS 1/25TH SCALE TORINO IS THE 1968-69 TORINO LEEROY YARBROUGH DROVE, BACK IN THE GOOD OLD DAY'S. LARRY BUILT THIS CAR ALL BOX STOCK, OTHER THEN THE HOOD PIN SET ON THE HOOD, THE WINDOW NET, THAT'S NOT SEEN IN THE PHOTO'S, & THE HOOD PINS, THAT HANG OVER THE HEAD LIGHT'S, WITH A PHOTO-ETCHED SCREEN VENT IN ONE OF THE HEAD LIGHTS. IT'S HARD TO SEE THE HOOD PINS HANGING OVER THE LIGHT'S, BUT THEY ARE THERE. HE ALSO ADDED *ROSS GIBSON* HEADER'S, & MADE THE ALUMINUM EXHAUST PIPES, CAUSE HE DIDN'T LIKE THE ONE'S IN THE KIT. HE ALSO USED THE 6 LUG WHEEL'S FROM PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS, & TREADED TIRE'S MAKING THE CAR AS CLOSE TO 1968 HE COULD. THE PHOTO'S REALLY DON'T SHOW HOW CLEAN & SHARP LOOKING THE CAR REALLY IS." |
More from my buddy Chuck (Torino692 of the Yahoo Torino club). Here is a Revell Monogram Talladega model that I bought from a guy for $15.00 It was supposed to be Maroon, but was painted a Light Yellow by the previous owner instead. The hood is not painted black all the way to the cowl, & it is missing a few engine parts but I will find another model like it someday and get those parts that I need. It has pretty nice detail! These pictures don't really do it justice. This is not the actual box, but its just like the one that it came with the Talladega.
